Basically all you would have to do is splice some extra wire into the existing harness and then run it to the firewall and through the door panel with the wiring for the power door locks. Make a cut-out for the switch and install it.

I did this with my power window module with no problems. Camaros already have it mounted on the door panel though. It helped to do it when I had the dash off to have easier access to the rubber boot that runs to the door. I taped the wiring harness up to a wire hanger and fished it through. It was a pain, but turned out well.
so you used a 4thgen door pannel then? does the 4thgen door pannel attach to the top of our thirdgen doors as easy as the black plastic trim that typically attaches our door pannels?

I made a mistake in my last post. I meant to say power mirror module, not power window. The 3rd gen firebirds had the power mirror module mounted on the center console and I wanted to move the controlls to the door panel, the way it is in 3rd gen camaros.
