injector pulse

how do you check electrical pulse to injectors to make sure they have signal to open?

There is a device called a "NOID" light that you plug into the injector connector and try starting the car. If the light flashes you are getting a signal to that injector. Disconnect all the connectors from the injectors before starting and then test each one. Reconnect the injector connectors after all the injectors have been tested.

autozone should have this "noid" light? is it specific to injector wires?

Yes "autozone has them for $6.99 and they are specific to car manufacturer and engine style (TBI, PFI, & Bosch PFI).

the car was parked for a long time and i was trying to run the old gas out. could i have messed up the injectors in the process?
