I just realized my power locks died. I'm hoping its a short since I don't feel like changing lock solenoids. Basically, both went out at the same time, all fuses are good, and I don't have a wiring diagram.

Mine are not working as well as the power mirrors pointed out in the electric Gremlins post. I did come across a set of doorlock buttons on eBay though. I can't get my hands on a 1989 manual due to damn collectors for the Turbo T/A

Relay is located behind the drivers side kick pannel. Dual relay inside one housing I think. Fairly big. Both seloniods would not die at the same time nor the switches. Gotta be something common so I'd do most of my troubleshooting there. You will likely need a diagram or if you can just grab the relay from a junkyard car and swap it in for cheap.

Oh, I forgot to add that the power is supplied from a power distrubution block above the fuse box. It woud be attached to the metal right about 8 or 10 inches above the relay. Think you have to drop the fuse box to get access to it. Been years since I've been in that area.

You're my hero. I just relocated that box becuase I put some 6.5" speakers down there, it just came loose is my assumption. I'll test that out now. THANKS!Originally posted by HalfInchWrench

I'm thinking something besides simple blade fuses as well. Is that the same components for an '89? I'd have great difficulty getting a 'junkyard dog' donor!

I've never touched a TTA but I can't see why that would be different. Have a look. The PM are out of that same distrubution block.

The screw that holds the relay is the ground I believe. If you move it it has to be tied to ground.Originally posted by firebirdjosh
