Wiring Harness Interchange?
I could use some help.
Does anyone know if a 84 & 85 Berlinetta parts interchange?
The wiring harness, to be exact.
Also can the turn signal switch from the dash be put in the steering column?
Can anyone help me with information on how to do this?
I am at a loss.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tom,
Are you SURE that both cars are Berlinettas ???? If it doesn't have a digital speedo ( from 84-86 ) than it's NOT a Berlinetta. Look at the VIN code to be sure,....... It has to have an 'S' as the 5th digit to be a Berlinetta !
All Berlinettas from 84 - 86 use the same wiring harness's. There are a few minor differences here and there, but if the donor car is the same as the one your fixing that you should have no problem swapping them. If one car is an auto, with cruise and a PPD rear hatch motor and the other is a manual tranny without cruise and has a power "pop" hatch motor than there will obviously be differences !!! I think the 85 was the year that the gas gauge wiring was run behind the rear seat backrest,..... in 84 / 85 that wiring ran all the way down the drivers side of the car with the tail light harness.
The turn signals could probably be modified to work off the steering column from a regular Camaro - but that would be a custom job of cutting / slicing wires to get it to work right.
