if your car doesnt have a connector underneath the rug then yes, you have to get power from the fuse box....
what i was asking is if every car has the harness wired in but cars with no power seats just dont have a hole cut for it but its under there. Unless they wired each car as ordered, but that sounds time consuming

More than likely its not there.Youd be able to feel the end(plug)if it is there though. If you car has power seats. The carpet may altready have the slot for the seat harness. If so just pass the lumbar harness thru there.Power ONLY goes the the seat with the pump(pass). The harness is intergrated with the Dr side for the relays & switch. So its a little involved to make your own.Its easier to snag the harness from the donor car. Then all you have to do plug the connectors & hook up your pos/neg.That's how i did my 84Z.Only custom wiring i did was wiring up my original power seat track with a ford taurus switch on the inner(between seat/console),because the lumbar switch is on the outer(door) side & the was no room for the stock 84 switch.
