Brake Light issues.....

Today someone told me my brake lighst weren't working and I figured a simple fuse. I got home and checked and NO blown fuse.

I check all fuses to be sure.... and all are good.

I did replace the brake switch light just to be sure with no positive results. this is what I have so far

The brake lighst will come on when the lights are lite, they just don't work when I press the brake pedal. I do have a socket that is somewhat questionable but it does light up when the lighst are on. Also I took the fuse out of the holder and check for voltage there and I had 0. I do beleive I should have 12VDC but is there another master buss or fuse before the fuse box? If anyone can help I'd greatly apprciate it.

PS I did do a search and found nothing that really answered any questions.

Did you have this problem before or after you changed out the brake switch? You might need to adjust the switch if you haven't already done so.

I changed out the brake light switch cause I had this problem. SO yeah I had it before. But what gets me is I have nothing on the fuse box as far as power.

Any ideas?

** Update **

Well for some reason I couldn't find my 12VDC going to my brake ligth switch. All thr wiring was intact and no grounds so I pulled 12VDC, fused it and ran it to my brake light switch. Works great now.

Its one mod I didn't want to go that route but I had no choice.
