while still trying to find this "hot ground" issue of mine, i see now that if i turn the lights on (no key), only 3 of the 4 light up behind the dash. the one that does not light is the left inboard one. BUT - let me turn the key (light switch off) and it comes on - along with the "security" light, faintly. and going back to lights on with no key, if i turn the dimmer all the way down, it has the same effect as turning the key on - one light plus the security light. turn it back to full bright, and the one goes out and the others light up... ain't that just a bunch of crap... and one other thing i noticed - if i turn the lights on with no key, the warning buzzer will sound, but go off after a couple of seconds instead of staying on as long as the lights are on.
