Removed ECM, Temp. Gauge Not Working

Okay, I removed my 2.8L and its ECM and engine harness and swapped in a 350 without ECM. I left the chassis harness intact to keep all other electrical systems. After installing the new engine my temp. gauge and oil pressure gauge quit working because I removed the engine harness which was connected to the sending units. So my question is how would I go about rewiring or tapping into the existing wiring. Would a splice wires from the sending units to the fuse cluster in the engine bay or would I run new wires all the way to the gauges? I am not too much of a schematic reader, which I've overly tried to understand, but just couldn't make sense of anything so I decided to ask the professionals.

The V6 had separate sensors for the temp and oil pressure, not connected to the ECM, for the gauge readouts. Can't really explain how to fix it, but you'll need to get the temp sensor from the head, single green wire, and the pressure sensor, bigger one near the oil filter, install in the 350 and sort out the wiring. This can be done ok without the ECM in the car though.

All of the gauges are fed through the bulkhead connector. If your 2.8 was like mine, look for a plug near the brake booster with 3 wires, a tan, a green, and a green/white wire. The green will be the water temp, tan will be oil pressure, and the green/white is for A/C.

Thanks for the info, it helped me close the circuit. I removed the a/c compressor and all of that so can I just cut the green and white wire in the connector next to the bulkhead and just hook up the green and tan wires for oil pressure and temp?

The green wire and tan wire that go from the plug go straight into the bulkhead connector for water temp and oil pressure. If you run a wire to the oil pressure sender and the water temp sender, it will start working. I actually cut the plug out of my old engine harness and re-used it so I had a disconnect point for those two gauges in case I ever needed to pull the bulkhead connector.
