Fuel Gage Wiring Route

Could anyone tell me where the fuel gage wiring routes to after it goes behind the rear seat? Does it go along the center console or along the driver’s side door? My gage reads full all the time. I've checked the wiring continuity from the tank to behind the seat. It has no shorts there so I'm working forward. Thanks

After coming from behind the rear seat, it turns toward the driver side and follows along the door frame under the black doorgaurd edge. AFAIK it will be a pink wire that goes all the way to the dash wiring.

Hey, I'm having , at least it sounds like, the same problem. Does the pink wire running back from the instrument cluster go straight to the connector in the back seat? How many volts should it get? I'm so confused.

The pink wire runs from the cluster to a set of plugs behind the driver kick panel, these plugs are for the taillights, brake lights, etc etc plus the fuel pump wiring and sending unit. AFAIK there is not any voltage, but a resistance from the sending unit that moves the fuel gauge.

Ok, at the 3- wire connector in the back seat, there is a black, pink, and it looks to be like tan wires for a ground, fuel gauge, and fuel pump right?

That would be correct.
