lazy firebird headlight

My drivers side headlight hasn't been popping up much lately, but the motor still drives. It's like the gear the motor drives doesnt' have teeth. i didnt' take anything apart, jsut observed it try to come up. The motor runs for about 15 seconds whenever I hit the headlight switch, then cuts out. I was wondering what I should do next. Is there a way to just permanently leave the headlights up? Thanks

You could always repair both headlights in about an hour for $20 using the headlight repair kit available from my web site.
