speedo fix???
im not sure this is where this should go. please move it if if needed.
i was repairing my trip odometer. but instead of doing it like explained on the forums, i just pulled the needle off, and unscrewed the gauge; instead of pulling out the whole cluster.
my problem is trying to get the speedo needle put on right. when i pulled it off, i was expecting it to be notched so that it only goes on one way. i was wrong.
is there any trick to this? i was following my bro, and it appears to be about 4 mph under reality.

I guess the only way to get it right would be to drive down the road while following someone. Have the lens off the cluster and the needle off the speedo. When your sure your going the same speed as your helper (cell phones are helpful lol), stick the needle on the speedo. Then make sure it's right. That's how I would do it anyways....hope this helps!
BTW, Make sure the car you are following is stock with factory-size tires!

thanks. i guess i really goofed. wish my cruise control worked. (thats something else i've been meaning to fix) then i could set it anywhere, and have someone clock me. and voila. theres construction in town and they have the big signs that display radar readings. i could set my cruise and it would tell me exactly...

i dont know on your car but there should be a diagram to go by...when you turn your key to the on position your speedo guage should go to a certain position...if you know someone with your model get them to do this and set your needle to that position...ask if someone on here could do that for you.then check with someone going the same speed to assure its correct...
