TPS enhancer

Those TPS enhancer .. that .. supposedly ... boosts the signal supposedly eliminates flat spots .... is there a schematic or diagram for them ?

Sounds like it could be worth a try... but no way for damn 80 dollars .. if it doesn't do anything lol.. but if one can make one.. then why not

Anyone ever tried making one ?

The TPS sender is a potentiometer similiar to a manual volume control on any piece of electronic equipment. It supplies a varying voltage from usually a half volt to 5 volts at WOT. Unless the TPS is bad( bad spots)it makes no sense. The only thing that the gadget you mention might do is supply a higher voltage at a given spot during the throttle opening. I can't see any logic to it since the ECM is calibrated very close to TPS, VSS, MAP and/or MAF units. IMHO it sounds like a waste of time and money.

So couldn't you just adjust your TPS a bit to have higher voltages are certain spots (if thats what you want to do).

Not unless you edit the calibrator in the ECM. Everything in the ECM calibrator is programmed pretty precise. Newer GM vehicles self calibrate the TPS, the TG ECM's want it set to a narrow window. Normally if it's not set correctly you wind up losing performance as opposed to gaining anything.
