305 to 350 computer questions

The battery has been disconnected months now. Will this screw up my computer?

Does anyone suggest I get a reputable business to reprogram my computer for the 350 or is that even possible or necessary?

The stock TPI is being used. We are putting mid 80s heads (bigger intakes) on a 4 bolt 1973 350 with an RV type cam.

Thanks for any informative replies !!

Yes,you are definately going to need to get the computer reprogrammed. You need to either get bigger fuel injectors or at the very least adjust the fuel pressure upwards to compensate for the bigger cylinders, and that is to just get it running at all.To get it to run correctly you will definately need to get the computer reprogrammed.I would also stick with a more well known cam,so whoever gets to do the computer work will have some chance of finding the specs on it.

Thanks for the info TagTA. I got some Bosch 19lb injectors which are slightly higher than stock.

It looks like www.thirdgenresource.com does programming and I do have the exact specs on the cam.

Hopefully there won't be any insane problems when we get this put together in a few weeks.

Not to say they can't do the job for you but you might want to do a little checking on the board here about thirdgen resources. They used to be a sponsor for this board until their service caused a lot of negative complaints on this board.

tpiparts.com leads to the following website. What is the real website of the outfit who did your computer?

http://www.mdaturbines.com/tp/mda_turbo_parts.htm

Thanks for all the suggestions. Turns out that the 305 head water outlets do not match the 350 in any way. SO I have a real nice 4 bolt main 350 (1973 era) with new main bolts, oil pump, oil pan and barely used pistons to get rid of. Oh well.
