wires everywhere

i have an 83 z28 that i ripped out the fuel injectors and went to a carb system. also i took out the a/c heat and cruise control and i'm now left with a mess of wires.
im sure someone out there has done something similar and i was wondering what they did with all them.
personally i cant seem to find the time or interest to rip apart my wiring harness and pull them out one by one.

It's not all THAT bad. Just remove the kick panel and disconnect the harness at the ECM, then unclip the bundle where it goes into the engine compartment. With a little persuasion and threats of setting the car on fire and rolling it off a cliff, they should come out. Just clip the harness with enough wires so that it can be reused in case you come across someone who needs it. No point in destroying yet another perfectly fine original Camaro part.

Oh, and for a bonus, I'm gonna throw in the obligatory, "If you already went through all that trouble, you should've just swapped in a 350" post that everyone seems so fond of .

also one more question. is there an easy way of ditching my computer completely and going completely old school, i know it can be done i just dont know how or would it be easier to take it out and put in an aftermarket one that just does the bare minimum.

You'd need aftermarket gauges, *I think* I don't know exactly how your setup is. You wouldn't need to really rewire anything, since the power wire for the fuse block goes off of the starter, and in through the firewall on the driver's side. The wires you'd be messing with are on the pass. side
