how to wire 2 pumps
i have 2 external pumps fitted to car one is wired into the connector that ataches up near the tank and it runs fine . how do i properly wire the second pump ? can i splice the extra power wire off the one that goes to the pump that allready works or will this start blowing fuses or wreck the relay ? will it draw 2 much current ? i think it may so what is the way to do it run a wire from the battery to under the tank and then? your help would be great as i have 150 gas ready to go after i get the second pump wired !!
hook up the 2nd pump to the same power wire as the 1st pump and see if it blows a fuse. If it does, i'd say put in a higher amp fuse.
2 pumps will draw more current. If your pumps aren't acting good enough, run thicker wires in place of the one going to the pump. This will allow more electric current to flow through the wire (or another way of saying it - there will be less of a power loss in the wire).
