1 wire alt or 2?

I'm looking at buying a 140 amp chrome powermaster alternator and there are 2 choices. They're the same alternator except one is 1 wire capable and it costs more. I just need the one that's not 1 wire capable right?

Either will work.
The cheaper may have a different harness plug than your current. Nothing a splice can't fix though.

I went ahead and got the cheaper one. My memory tells me that one wire alternators are old-school. I've got an 88+ serpentine setup on my car...so I should be ok.
