problem with my power window switch?

problem with my power window switch?
the passenger side of my 92 firebird the passenger side window will not go up and you can not hear the window motor moving but it will go down and you can hear the motor moving. do you think this could be fixed by simply replacing the switch or if not what do you think it could be?

The windows will fail if they're binding--I believe the motor overheats and the thermal switch cuts power. You may simply need to make an adjustment or thoroughly clean and lube the tracks.
