Strange Charge Issues

I am having some issues with charge. Whenever i drive my car for a while my volts slowly goes down. It eventually falls so low that it kills the car. The battery is good, just bought a new 90 AMP alt from checker auto, had it tested incase that was bad. No fuses blown in the fuse box. On the plug for my alt there is what looks like a diode, not sure if thats supposed to be there or not, the plug is slightly broken (just the plastic part, no actual metal connection is damaged) Where could i get a new plug? Rpms dont seem to matter in the charge. If i get down on it for a while it seems to drop but it could be my eyes playing tricks on me.

edit: I have the stock dist. with a jegs coil and jegs module. (Dont know if it matters)

Try running a good sized wire from the big batt. terminal on the alternator direct to the battery + terminal. There doesn't need to be any odd stuff in this circuit. If this doesn't work you are not getting the initial field voltage that energizes the alternator.
