on 3rd gen firebirds from 1982-1986 is the engine harness that has goes to the alt, starter, window wiper etc interchangeable from 1982-1982 or were there differances in the harness. I believe this is the left harness on the drivers side of the firewall right by the power brake booster.

 

Your question is a little confusing, maybe you should read it agian. or maybe it is just me, Im not sure. You asked if the 82-86 is interchangeable with the 82-82. If i am reading this correctly then yes they should be since they are the same harness.

I should have proof read my post, sorry about that.I have heard that the engine harness's are the same from 1982-1986 and then in 87 things were changed a bit. the engine harness I am talking about is NOT the ECM harness but rather the harness that connects to the starter, alternator, window wiper motor etc.
I am building a car here and I want it to look like an 82-84 car so I am just wondering if any engine harness from 1982-1986 will fit my current harness that I have collected that were all off of an 82 Trans Am. hope this clears things up a bit.
