Fuse box question
I have a 86 trans am and there is a place in the fuse box that reads (crank) and takes a 3 amp fuse and I was wondering what that fuse is for.

Crank as in start!!!!!!!!!!!!
On the VIN 2 models that fuse runs to the ECM. On the VIN S & F models it goes to the cold start switch and cold start injector. On the VIN G model it goes to the fuel pump relay. On the VIN H model it doesn't app;y to anything.

If your's is missing, and the engien starts normally (without excessive cranking), it may have been reprogrammed with a later code. Later TPIs did not use a cold start injector, and programmed extra starting fuel through the service injectors.
