What is this??
What is this??
This thing fell outa the passside dash while i was pulling the ecm in my newly aquired 91 RS.It was not plugged into anything. It just fell out and landed in the floor board. It clearly says AC on the top side(can be seen in pic) and it also has the numbers 25110819c next to the connecter part(bottom right of pic).On the back side in bold it says 1960 then beside it printed upside down(compared to the 1960 print)is ACD and directly below is 03(all on backside of bottom left of pic.Any idea of what this is??Is it needed??

Did it fall out right next to the ECM? It looks like the cruise control module printed circuit board, but the large black plastic cover is long gone.
Yeah directly beside it to the left id say about an inch.I was just pulling the ecm down and this little board just fell out.Nothing was plugged to it or anything. Is it nessesary??Right now i just need to get the engine started. The car this fell out of is a 91 RS L03 T-5.I have a 89 RS L03 auto car that i got with the 91.Does the 89 have one and is it the same and will it work in the 91??Thanks

passkey decoder... unless the car was "modified", yea, you might need it to get it started. did it start before, or that's why you were pulling the ecm and that little jewel fell out?

Its never started!!Trying to decifer that prob still.I pulled the ecm because i had to leave it where i bought it over the weekend and thats one of the major items stolen around here.I have reistalled it.I found the case behind the ecm today but the cover was under the seat.Still no start though.I took the pill outa the key and held it to the wires under the column and nothing.
Someone knew a lil bit about what to look for but not enough to fix the no start prob.Maybe i'll figure it out before i start parting the car out.Damn near got it gutted now trying to fix it!!
