Axle/Gears: should be 3.73
ECM or MAF defect

Hi!

I bought a car with a awaped engine (327). Under the summer i crused along without a single problem untill August. The Check engine soon light comes on and the engine stalls at idle. but if i dissconect the MAF-sensor it runns again but not aswell as before. The ECM has been temperd with a few times and i got alot of trouble codes as folows; 25, 33, 34 and 36.

Pleace help me!

I bought a knew sensor but it still stalls at idel.

One thing you might check. There are several grounding connections on the back of the engine, on the cylinder heads. Very hard to get to, but they will work loose or corrode and lose connection, cause these problems. Generally a bad ECM will not throw codes as it doesn't see the external problem. Not always I guess but usually.

Okay! thanks for the tip
I will check those when i install the louvers tomorrow

(my English may not be the best but i hope itīs understandible)

I have checked the groundings that i had found but they all are free from corotion. But I donīt know how many grounding places there is behind the engine, i found one from the engine that lead to the mounting just to the right of the distributur.

Sense the engine has been swaped and manny cabels cut, i have a small problem knowing what is for what.

Is there more then one ground from the engine to the chassie?
If so; How many and were are they?
