Just Got 145mph speedo..........tach acting funny.
I just got it all cleaned up and looking good. It took me a couple time the get the speedo cable put back on the back of the mph gauge but I got it.
Problem:
I turn the car on and it pegs out at 7000rpm. I can get out on the road and get on the gas real hard and it'll jump around for a quick second then start acting perfectly and reading correctly. Got any ideas? I would hate to have to do that everytime I get in the car. If I can't get a answer to the problem in the next week or so i'll try and put my old tach out of my 85mph in the cluster.
Thx

I used to sell the 145's from time to time, and I always recommended that the buyer swap the speedo head into his old cluster. That way he was assured that everything functioned correctly--providing it did before.
