Wiring a switch for cooling fan....
ok,my fan is hard wired,im tired of this as soon as the key turns the fan is on crap,so i figure,i will just run a quick swith right?...
no problem...
then i noticed that this spliced wire that whoever had the vehicle before had added runs from the fan plug into a harness,i have no clue where it is going,i had thought that this wire was just a power and i could dissconnect it from the plug and run it straight into the cab for switch power but i am unsure and would appreciate a little help.
this is where the last owner added his two cents...

and this is the harness it runs into...

......

does anyone know where this wire is going?,can i just pull the spliced end off it and run it into the cab for switch power, and ground it off anywhere?
i would appreciate any insight that applys to this matter.

The best and easiest way (smaller gauge wire) to add a manual fan switch is to use the factory fan relay. I don't have the wiring off the top of my head but if you've got a manual like a Chiltons with the electronic diaghrams you'll find the fan relay.

At the fan connector, follow those 2 wires(not the B+ one to battery splice) back to the relay area. See where they go. Does it end up neer the bulk head connector where your fuel and fan relays are?
