Stock gauges...
Ive got an 86' Camaro and quite frankley I hate the stock gauges. I was wondering if I couls switch them for ones from a 90-92 RS?? I think that those are electrical gauges and mine are mechanical or whatver. Not sure. Would it be possible with not alot of work/modifications?? Thanks, Baron

im not absolutly positive if you can do this or not but the dashes are differant from the 86 than they are from the 90-92 so i dont think it will be easy. have you considered digital guages?

This is a direct bolt in and i think its pretty cool let me know cuz there are analog guage panels available too.

If you want just the 90-92 gauges, you'll have to get the wiring schematics/pinouts for both your year and 90-92 and do some cross-wiring. The speedometer is the only one that will be switched from mechanical to electrical. You'll have to swap the vss in the transmission with an electrical one. There might be more work involved, i dont know, not a camaro expert.
Digital guages are cool and more accurate.... though i dont like anything thats on the market, just not cool enough.

Im not a big digital fan. I think they look pretty uglly and Id much rather have a needle sweep across my speedo than a number.

you have to pick your own guages and there is even kits already assembled although i cant remember who sells em happy hunting.
