how do i wire up a rear defrost?

I bought a decklid with a rear defrost in it and i want to make it work in my 92 rs...my car did not come with rear def i can get the switch from a salvage yard but i need to know how hard it will be to wire it up in my car..I was wondering if maby the stuff was already in the car but not connected and maby just adding a relay and connecting wires would do it...thanks...

It's a fairly simple job. I have an 86 IROC that did not come with the defroster, but the 86 parts car I got did. If I were you, I would get all the wiring and switch too. BE SURE TO MAKE NOTES ON HOW AND WHERE THE WIRES PLUG INTO! All I had to do was swap the hatches out, remove all the wireing and switch from the parts car (noting where the connections were made) install the switch and run the wiring to the right locations and plug the wires in. Turn the ignition on and push the defrost switch and it worked! The hardest part was running the wires from the back to the dash and under the dash. I removed my gauge cluster to make running the wires a little easier. They plug into a panel on the driverside. I did have several of the lines that did not work but using a test light I found the breaks Repaired them with a $10 repair kit and now they all work like they came in the car.
