My turn filament is lit with parking lights, when the blinker is activated it shuts the light off and on. The low watt filament is not used.

I want to try this. What size resistor would I need to use? Could a heavy duty flasher be used instead of the resistor?

Would the parking lights have to be on in order for the blinkers to work?
