Okay so there are 3 wires coming from the fuel tank that I can see. One connector that goes through to the back seat. The wires are Black, Purple and Tan. What are each of those for?

I assume one supplys power to the fuel pump but they are all small guage wires. BTW this used to be a TBI car, probably still has the OG wiring.

black is ground, pink goes to your fuel gage, tan is for powering the in-tank fuel pump whether you have an in-tank fuel pump or not. This is whats on my 86 t/a.

The purple wire might actually be pink.
