Vats
I searched on the vats and found all I needed as far as bypassing it untill I can actually get the steering column apart enough to replace the lock cyl, for now though I need a pic of what the actually vats controller looks like so I can put in the resistor so I don't have any more "Stuck in random places" problems.

Here is a picture of the wires where you would put the resistor that you are referring too. The white wires in the orange wrap are the ones coming from the steering column.

Thanks for the pic, someone had said something about grounding a green and black wire I think via a switch.... Any truth to that working? Was wondering if it would work like a kill switch which would be nice to have in addition to the vats.

The wires that they were referring too were a yellow wire and a green/white wire (BTW, these wire colors will vary from model to model) on the starter enable relay. This would help you if that relay went bad, however the VATS controls the fuel injectors as well. You don't ground them, you jumper between pin "A" & "E" on the starter enable relay connector.
