Well a buddy of mine has an '88 firebird 305 TBI and his steering coloumn went bad and he was able to get a steering coloumn from an 84-85 ish berlinetta. He was able to bolt it in and all of the connections fit correctly, but when he puts the key in the on position and nothing happens. No dash lights, no sounds, no cranking. He made sure the battery was charged, so is it possible the wiring is different in the connectors?

If so is there any way to hot wire the wires from the coloumn to the wires on the car to get it to work? Any body have a diagram?

Thanks for looking,

Chris

Has he checked to make sure that the ignition switch on top of the steering column under the dash is wired and adjusted properly?
