Air Bag Light

My air bag light (INFL REST) light lights, irradically, while driving. It does the normal flashing at startup for diags, then it goes out, and later down the road, it will light. BUT - it's not flashing as in trying to tell me something, it's lighting half-assed and irradically - like it almost getting power from somewhere but not quite - like a short of sorts - thus I use the term "light" rather than "flash". Weird as it sounds, it seems to be linked to my foot on the gas pedal - if I floor it, it does this weird lighting as if it's getting a short from somewhere. When I let off gas, no flashing.

I haven't done anything to the car other than removing/installing the tranny that got rebuilt. It's a 1992, carbed 350 with ECM removed - I removed the ECM in October, and it just started this weird bag light last week. Any help appreciated.

(Maybe it's telling me to slow down after the 350 swap? LOL)

I had the same problem with mine after I removed the piece under the steering wheel that protects all the wires. I just took it back out and jiggled the airbag wires around, and it fixed the problem...no more light
