Tach Filter !!

Tach Filter !!

I have an 87 Iroc and really need to find where the TACH FILTER is located on this car so I can disconnect it,, ANYONE HELP ?? Thanks

AFAIK, there is no separate filter from that which is install in the tach electronics. Some Corvettes had a separate filter R/C network, but the TPIs didn't.

If you're having problems after an MSD install or similar, you'll need a tach adapter.

According to MSD there is no adapter for my car, they say you have to bypass the Filter.


I just spliced into the plug behind the gauges and ran a new wire straight to the MSD and it works fine.THanks everyone.
