After Market Plug Wires
I have a set of Taylor Spiro-Pro wires on my TPI motor.
I remember seeing early articles and installation warnings about using low resistance plug wires on computer controlled motors, especially TPI. The reason was to prevent inductance spikes in the injector harness or elsewhere.
Is this just the sky is falling type advice?
Does anyone have reservations about using quality racing type plug wires?

It is probably mostly the manufacturer covering their behind, since some interference could occur under the right circumstances.
On the other hand, there is really no need for nearly straight wires on something that isn't running enough dynamic pressure to blow out the spark. My guess is that your engine would run exactly the same with decent quality suppression wires.

I went back to look at where I had seen the warnings. I installed TPI in '89, and it's been done for many, many years, but I have never finished up with interior/dash reassembly, due to life's many changes. I'm just friggin' lucky to still even have it...
Camaro Performance by David Shelby ('91) only makes slight reference to routings of plug wires to safeguard the ECM from inductance when using MSD higher output. "However, there is occasionally a compatibility problem between the MSD's increased eneregy output and the ECM. Plug wires with special resistance values my be required to prevent the ECM from being on the receiving end of spurious inputs."
I also believe it was a warning from Bill Howell in the Harness Instructions from about '90 or '91. I do not see the warning, now, in online instructions.
I just wanted to hear what people were running, and if there had been any bad experiences with running low resistance wires by any members.
