Temp Gauge Repair

Previous owner had the motor out, and ended up putting it back in. When he reinstalled it alot of stuff was just left unhooked or whatever. The cars temp gauge is always maxed out. Does this mean that its hooked up but the temp sender is screwed? Where is the temp sender? Hopefully its just unhooked or something. Thanks alot.

The temp sender for the gauge is in the driver's side head just below and between #1 & #3 spark plugs.A maxed gauge usually means a loose or broken connection(sender wire is dark green). But the needle can be stuck also.

Sender wire was indeed dark green. Followed it down and found the plug. It was a spade connecter. Probably another farmer rig that the previous owner put on. Bent the spade connector so it fits snug. Works like a charm now.
Thanks!
