WHAT WIRES?

Im in the process of gathering parts for a speed density system swap from TBI. Im trying to figure out what harness to use for the engine. Im not a big fan of repinning and splicing on new connectors. I like origionality. Im looking at the Painless SD harness or considering trying to find one that can be parted out. I know that with the Painless I will need to add some of the pins for the CCP and AIR system from the origional harness. Should I go Painless or factroy? 1 thing im not sure of....can the factroy engine harness be removed without cutting wires because I know that some of the wires go the the bulkhead connector on the driver side. TCC Oil switch and the VSS. Hope someone can shed some light on this for me!!

look on ebay, you could should be able to find one there just be sure to ask if they have cut any connectors off before you bid. on the bulkhead they use a large connector that unscrews. i have seen harness go for $100-$200 by it self more if it includes the intake.

I think the painless is over priced. As mentioned in earlier post you can find an uncut harness with a little looking around. Lots of things like that just hanging out in someones garage. I have an 85 tpi complete with exception of a few fasteners....family member decided to take it apart for me...tyvm for that. One of these days I will post it for sale. Just keep an eye out and post in the parts wanted here and on some of the other sites, it will turn up.
