I have a computer from a 86 monte carlo (it was writtin in black marker on the computer)#1227169 in my 86 camaro is this going to be a problem? The car won't start and I wonder if the computer is not right for my car. Also, does anyone know the stock computer # for my car 86 berlinetta, auto, 305 rochester quadrajet computer controlled carb? I got this car with this computer and it wasn't running when i got it but i got it cheap with the intention of fixing it but i can't figure out why it won't start. Thanks for any help.

If the 86 Monte Carlo had a V8 with a carb from the factory then the computer would probably work.

 

I looked the computer up in partsamerica.com and it's the same number as my camaro lists for a repacement so yea it should work I probly should have done that before I made this thread. I just hope I didn't burn it out somehow.
