Service Engine Soon Light problems after TPI Swap
Hi, with the help of various individuals along this journey into TPI land, I've managed to get to this point. I searched the postings of others and have found this question asked before, but either the person posting the thread never responded in the end with a resolution or it was something I've already checked so here goes. I'm almost complete with a swap from my carb over to TPI. I've reached the point where I have attempted a few tests to see if everything is working in order. I put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position and I have the fuel pump wired up correctly, I hear it prime for 2 seconds... I turn the engine over, cranks over fine, with the new battery anyways... I used a noid light on the injectors and it flashes while cranking, and I even get it to start for a few seconds. However, I'm guessing that due to the fact that all of the vacuum connections have not yet been completed, it runs horribly plus I haven't set base timing etc. I will fix these tomorrow and then know if that is the case.
My problem / question is this... When I turn the ignition to the on position the check engine light comes on for 2 seconds, during the pump prime, and then it goes right back out again although the engine is not running or being cranked. I have read that this light should be on while the key is in the on position if the engine is not running. I have checked the black/white grounds at the ECM and found them to be good. Obviously the check engine light works and it does fine during a jumpered connection at the ALDL. Also, in the couple of minutes that I actually ran the car, it did throw a code 33. Obviously the ECM is at least partially working. However, I decided to go over to my local parts wholesaler... aka junk yard.. and picked up an ECM out of an 86 TPI Camaro. Brought it back and......, SAME PROBLEM... I have tried this with a stock chip and an aftermarket version and it is the same either way. Although, it is possible that both units are bad, it is even MORE possible I just screwed something up along the way. I'm hoping someone here might have encountered a similar incident in the past and can impart their wisdom and guidance. I'm SO close to finishing this project and hate to turn back now, although I'm starting to feel that I was reaching too high when I took it on...
Any help, guidance, direction, etc would be appreciated.

update
Well, I forgot to mention that this is a MAF system so the code 33 is actually low voltage on the MAF sensor, which is a bit odd, because it also threw a code 34. I've traced all of the wire connections looking for a bad ground, crossed connection, etc. to no avail. The check engine light still will come on for about 1 second when the key is switched on, then it goes out although the engine is not running. Any ideas?????
