No power in 87 bird. Do I need a harness?
I bought another firebird the other day to build up for my girlfriend, and I had to have it towed to my house because the guy said "theres no power to anything, but I dont know why"
So I looked under the hood and there is absolutely no wires except for the left side of the bulk head which are the wires going out to the windshield wipers/washer, and other things. The WHOLE right side of the bulk head is gone.
So I'm guessing the fuse box and ALL of the accessories in the car get their power from that right? I really dont want to wire this whole car from scratch, so please tell me there is something easy that I can do.
The ground cable is fine and wired up, and the positive wire has a lead for the starter, and one for the alternator, and a little fuseible link for the computer I guess.
If anyone needs pictures, or a better explination, let me know. I'm trying to get this car done for her ASAP cause her current car is on its last leg.
EDIT: This is a 1987 Firebird with an LG4 and T5 tranny.... But I'm not too worried about the engine, part of the harness because its comming out and probably a crate 305 or 350 is going in.
