Wiring question Injector Fuse 1 & 2
I bought an 89 with some burnt up wiring, namely the wire that goes from the ignition to the coil. Whats left of the wire looks like it was also spliced into the 2 pink wires that feed the injector fuses. Is this how its supposed to be or should that feed come from somewhere else?? Please help I need to get this car running so I can change the head gasket on another car that broke right after i got this one.
Thanks

The pink wire to the coil runs through the C100 connector and to the ignition switch. It is pink and a heavier guage wire than most of the others.

Are the injector fuse leads supposed to splice into that wire? I also found another burnt wire under there last night. I have to trace that one and figure out what the problem with that one is. I looks like there is a pair of red wires that splits into about 5 of them under the dash, is that normal? It seems out of place.

GM does do that in their harnesses. It usually looks like the uninsulated parts were squeezed together and heated. Does this make sense?

I got it figured out and running on Friday. Unfortunatly the motor sounds like it is missing quite a few bearings and will need to be replaced but at least the electrical is solid.
