HELP! Interior Lights WONT WORK!
Alright, this all started when my battery was recharged and put back into my car.
The lights Around my GTA's Digital screen that say RES,AVG,TRIP, and ect.. they dont light up anymore, the actual screen does, but the buttons dont.
The lights for my heating/cooling, the ones that light up the words saying MAX,NORMAL,VENT,DEF,HEAT.... THOSE dont work anymore.
FINALLY... the lights that light up the letters by my shifter, P,R,N,D,2,1, they dont light up anymore.
Ive checked ALL my fuses, their good, I dont know what to do, or how to get these lights working again.

The digital instrument clusters I've seen have their own backlighting, and depend upon ambient light for the few different levels of lighting, not the instrument lamp dimmer control. All the rest of the lamps you describe, however, ARE controlled by the instrument lamp dimmer. Check teh TAIL fuse and INST LPS fues. If those are intact, try adjusting the I/P lamp dimmer control next to the light switch. Short of that, the remote dimmer module may have a problem.
Connecting a charger may have introduced enough AC voltage to damage the dimmer control transistor.
This should cover it for you:

we didnt actually connect a charger to the battery while it was in the car, the lights stopped working after the newly charged battery was re-conntected.
And how would I go about replacing the dimmer control transistor?

My Digital Dash Lighting dims just fine, its just the HVAC, The Gear Indicator Lights, and the buttons around my Driver Information Center that have stopped working.

That's the one. You can test for an emitter-base open. A suitable replacement may be NTE-98. Even though it is a Darlington,
it should work fine in that application.
You can test the lamps by removing the transistor module and connecting the collector lead to the emitter lead (brown to dark green)
then turning on the dash lights. There will be no control, and they should operate at full intensity. If so, either the dimmer control in
the dash or the trtansistor has failed. Measure voltage from the dimmer control (green/white wire) to ground with the lights on.
The voltage should vary depending upon the position of the dimmer control. If so, the dimmer is O.K. If not, the dimmer has a problem.

Hey, since the dimmer still controls the brightness of my Digital Dash in my GTA with no problem, could there still be something wrong with it?
