headlight sticks UP?

ok so this one is weird to me, i had the problem where my headlights wouldnt come up, fixed that, no problem, but now when i turn the lights off my passenger side light stays up. i can turn the lights on, and then manually turn it just a little bit, turn the lights off and it will go down. it seems like the motor is just spinning itself too tight or something. anybody got any ideas why this happens?

Check that the upper stop adjuster is persent and adjusted correctly. It is a black octagon-shaped rubber piece molded to a metal screw thread so it can be adjusted in/out. It is located near the motor, the arm that attaches to the shaft hits it to stop the upper opening of the headlight. If yours is broken, missing or adjusted in too far the arm will travel too far and go too far over-center. I suspect that is what is happening. The motor is unable to close the headlight bucket because the arm has gone too far over-center.

Of course the FIRST thing to do is repair it with the DelrinŽ bushings from one of the headlight repair kits available. The headlight motors will do all sorts of strange things when the OEM bushings begin to fail.

i replaced the bushings less than a 9 months ago...and i bought them off top-downsolutions, so if they already went out i want to talk to your quality control!!
