After Market Wiring Harnesses

I would like to pose a question (or two) to the electrical experts here.
The project is a 1933 *****'s, Pro Streeted, with an '87 IROC TPI (for the most part).

Here is the scenario ... Factory motor 100% stock, motor ran great. We recently tore the top half of the motor apart and put in some go fast goodies, heads, cam, intake, injectors. Now we need to tune the motor, but were having connectivity problems. You can get the back ground on this here: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/diy-...roblems-w.html

Were at the point now we're starting to second guess that its spark plug wire related and maybe something else is wrong. We never tried to connect the computer to the stock motor.

I've been reading the stickies and so far the only thing that jumps out is we have ONE common ground (rear bolt on Pass. side head) for EVERYTHING in the car (radio, engine harness, chassis harness) I may have to verify ... but I believe the engine harness is from TPI TECH, inc, not sure where the chassis harness (lights, instrument cluster, ignition, etc) is from, but it is also after market.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to try to diagnosis this problem ?

We've tried disconnecting the alternator and A/C compressor, also running a Hot wire directly to the distrib. from the battery.

Any input is appreciated !

Were getting desperate !
