So this weekend I am going to the junkyard too look for some gauges with a descent circuit board. My car is an '86 with tach and everything so I was wondering what year cars would have the same circuit board?

As far as I can tell from the Parts & Illustration Manual, anything from 86 to 89 should work. Just compare the part number on your old circuit to the one you find.
ok thanks, BTW is there anywhere where you can buy a circuit board new?

Probably only from GM. What's the problem with your original one?
From what I've read it's a common problem its fine untill you turn the guage lights on then all the gauges go limp and don't work and the right hand turn signal light comes on and stays on (doesen't blink just stays on) but it's fine untill you turn the panel lights on.
I believe your right hand turn signal staying on has something to do with the wiring of your right hand turn signal (front or back) and not your gauge cluster.
This happened on my 84 Trans Am one time when the upper wire on the left hand turn signal was loose and the left turn signal would just stay on. I opened the hood and pushed the wire in and it worked after that.

If the turn signals stop flashing, it's a burned out bulb usually. That wouldn't explain his gauges going dead though when the IP lights are on though.
Ya but like I said everythings fine untill the IP lights are on, Ive checked all the bulbs too.. (replaced 1) it's just really weird and annoying lol..
