I have a 91 Formula that has the old style ( metal bracket) pull down. I have aqquried 2 pull downs from a 92 firebird and a 92 camaro plastic bracket is there anyway to connect the plastic one to my car? Or if not is there a way that I can test these plastic one to make sure the work? Thanks for any help you can give.

 

I did renforce my old ones.

You could measure were the old one stops pulled dawn(you can push with a screwdriver to activate the pull down swith).

Then you mount the new one and check if it stops and fits in the same position as the old one. If not find a way to adjust it.

***only if everithing is in the right position you can close the hatch if not renforce the old one and put it back on***.
