Anyway, got done wiring up the box yesterday and it starts and runs like a champ in the driveway but haven't got the tach the way I want it. I wanna use the white wire and not the tach output on the side of the box, don't ask, just play around. I did already hook up the tach output on the side of the box to the harness side of the white tach wire and the grey connector and it worked from what I could tell without driving it. NOW, my question is, with everything else being the same, why would the tach output side work but not the white wire? Are they different signals or something like that? Filter or no filter, one works and the other doesn't and it's been bugging me all day. I've already got the tach adapter ordered so hopefully that will solve is on the white wire signal from the box but does anyone know what the difference in the two are? (signal wise) probably?

filter or no filter, what filter, where is this at. i am using the wiring harness from msd that drops straight in and no splicing. stock clips come off, both clip into big end of harness and the other end is a black clip just like stock and it goes onto the coil, just that one, and then you hook up your msd wires. my tach needle swings bad when i am at wot. msd guy said i need to bypass a resistor i was reading on msd website, they described it by that you need to take the filter off, dont know what it looks like or where
