help me identify these wires and connectors
help me identify these wires and connectors
Hi,
Still working on that dash swap, got the new dash in the car, and now have some questions on some wires.
I found this bundle of green wires on the new dash. The end of the bundle is wrapped in tape, at first I thought whoever removed this dash, taped these together. But after looking at it more it appears to be factory tape. All the wires are held together with a connector.
Anyone know what these would be for? They don't seem to be able to be connected to anything.

My next question is about these 2 connectors.
They are on the pasenger side.
The connectors themselves are the same as my 84 dash. But I've noticed that the 91 dash, has more wires, and some wires have moved.
Does anyone know what these connectors are for, and does anyone have a schematic of the wires for both years.

After doing some searching, I think the 2 connectors are refered to as C207?
Anyone know for sure?
Does anyone have a schematic or diagram that says what each wire color is? For a 90-92 and 84?
I don't want to blow this car up, when I'm so close to getting the dash done!!
Thanks
Chris.

Well in your first picture I have no clue as to what someone has jury rigged there. In your second picture, that looks like the connectors for the turn signals and wipers which you will find mounted on the right side of the steering column under the dash. BTW, connector C207 would be located on the passenger side of the car near the ECM and has a 15 pin connector.
hmm,
Well these 2 connectors are on the passenger side, and they both connect to the same connector. Not sure how many pins, but I can take a picture tonight.
The green wires, ya I'm not sure what that is. But it's wrapped in that factory tape stuff (not electrical tape) and has a factory looking clip thing holding them all together.

Here is the connector that is part of the car, looks like it goes to the computer
As you can see, it looks like the black part (part of the 91 dash) the wire location and colors were changed. Compared to the white part (84 connector that is part of the car)

Another view of the white connector (c207?)
If this is C207, if anyone has the wiring diagrams for both the 84 and the 90-92 style that would really help me out. I could do the same thing as I did on the C-100 terminal, and move the wires around to match the 84 Connector.
