HELP!!! WHICH YELLOW WIRE IGNITION??????
HELP!!! WHICH YELLOW WIRE IGNITION??????
Hello Everyone.. I'm trying to bypass my key safety system.. I have the proper resistor to wire in, but I was told to attach it in between two yellow wires that come from the ignition switch.. I don't know which yellow wires to cut and solder in the resistor... I looked up under the dash and there are several yellow wires.. does anybody have any recommendations as to what I should do..???,,, Sometimes when I try to start the car, it won't turn the engine over.. I was told this is a common problem with the anti theft systems on the 3rd. Gen cars... I was told there are two yellow wires that come from the switch and they get weak/cracked and then only let the car start every once in awhile.. I am having trouble with the battery going dead also, is it very hard to change the ignition switch with the air bag in the steering wheel..??????.. What to do??????????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

What year and model is your car? If it is a car with airbags, do not go fooling around with any yellow wires under the dash unless you like to live dangerously.
I know about the air bag yellow wire, I already found it, lucky for me it was marked with a tag!!!!... What I need to know is how to tell which wire {what color} do I splice in the resistor,?????????????????????????????... I have a 1991 Firebird Formula / 350 cu. auto, pw/pwdl/pwmr/air/...... Someone told me yesterday that the two wires that come out of the ignition switch are not yellow... he thought they were orange and grey.....
HELLOOoooooooooooooooooo... how do I know which wire to to splice without taking the ign. switch out,?????????????????????????????????????????......

The two wires coming out of the steering column on your car could be white in an orange wrapper or black. Either way they will connect to a black/white wire and a yellow/purple wire under the dash. You want to connect the resistor to the black/white wire and the yellow/purple wire.
