Gas gauge go地 funky

Here痴 what痴 happening. Ok I知 driving in my car right. And I start giving it gas. Not a lot or anything and the gas gauge drops a lot. Now it does this when im slowing down to. Now im not talking smashing the gas pedal or slamming on the brakes ether. When im going a set speed for more than a few minutes it go痴 back up. What could it be?

Probably a bad sending unit. And the sending unit is located inside of the gas tank.

How much gas is in the tank when this happens? Usually when its below a half-tank the needle will fluctuate like you mentioned.

no worries man... my car has a weird gauge too. she'll be at full and reads 3/4 tank, i'll drive home (and park) and she is at full. i turn her on in the morning and she is right above 1/2. then up near full or so...

QFT, My IROC does this too. But my girlfreinds cadillac is even worse.

Everytime you start the car, is drops 1/8th of a tank!

its cause we have units just sloshing around in the tank without any baffles, and the sending units end up getting beat around after awhile. if i ever do a rear end i'm tryin to score a 4thgen plastic tank too.
