Altenator Not Charging

I have a 87 Trans Am with a 88 Trans Am Engine and tranny and engine wiring harness. The engine is a 5.0 TPI and the body had originally a 5.0 TPI too and im not getting a charge with my altentor, I put a new one in and im getting the same reading. Im pretty sure this must be a computer controlled charging system and I was wondering if anyone had a wirirng diagram of the altenator wires so i can see if there is a broken wire or something. It has three wires that plug into the altenator and the color of them are red, tan/white, and brown. Thank you

Axle/Gears: Haven't checked
try following the red wire to the starter solenoid vin (h) or behind the rf headlight vin (s). to check the fusible link.
