Newer style cruise control
Anyone adapt the mid 90's cruise control? These are the ones with the motors rather than the vac to move the throttle.
I've seen these start showing up in the wrecker. Look a bit cleaner than the other one.
I am trying to find the wiring diagram for them.

yes. because i have a transmission from a truck & it still has the truck speed sensor i got the cruise module, DRAC, harness & switch from a 93 or 94 chevy pickup. the truck speed sensor uses a 40 pulse per revolution reluctor which comes out to something like 128,000 pulses per mile.
without looking it up, i believe the cruise control uses a 4000 pulse per mile signal which comes from the DRAC.
if you don't have an electronic speedometer you may have to get a speed sensor to mount somewhere on your speed cable & wire it up the a DRAC to get the signal you need.
the speed sensor on the back of the cable driven speedometers may give enough pluses per mile & a good enough signal for the DRAC to work right.
the DRACs from the trucks can be adjusted to vary the output signal by changing the jumper wires inside of it.
im pretty sure the cruise modules from the cars also use a 4000 pulse per mile signal.

I'm trying to use the newer style cruise control unit in a first gen S10 but I'm not having much look.. Look here for wiring diagrams and info:
1st Gen Cruise Control to 2nd Gen
I've checked every wire and they seems to be providing the correct signal.. I've also tried 2 cruise control units.. They simply don't seems to respond..
Any help anyone could provide would be great.

LOL ... that is what I was going to put it in.
From what I understand, the speed sensor input/output is probably the issue. The S10 put out a 2000 pusle per mile single (or 4000 in the 87-up if I recall). The newer style cruise control units use a higher number. So if you hooked up the S10 output, it would probably just read too low. It might be worth reading up on a sight like Dakota Digitia and see what sort of convertors they make ... it might give an idea as to what it takes to make this work. I'm still looking myself.
